Ambassador Connection
Looking for a way to create traffic at
your business? One idea is to host a Business After Hours. These
events are a great way to bring people into your business to show
off your goods and services. Here are some tips on planning your
event.
-
Check
availability – Business After Hours are generally held quarterly
on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 4:00 – 6:00
pm. There are currently spots available for July and October,
2006 and beyond. Call the Chamber office to secure your date.
-
Select a theme
– This allows you to build your event around one focal point.
It will also simplify your selection of decorations, menu items,
etc.
-
Get other
Chamber Members involved – Since you are providing the venue,
ask other Chamber members if they would like to sponsor food,
beverages, decorations, entertainment or door prizes.
-
Get the word
out – The Chamber staff is helpful in suggesting ways to
advertise your event.
-
Get leads –
Make sure you have a plan to gather leads. This can be
accomplished by simply having a business card drawing for a door
prize.
-
Have fun and
follow up – You will have a great time showcasing your goods and
services at your event. However, your main objective is to get
leads. Remember to follow up on your potential customers within
24 to 48 hours after your event to maximize your efforts.
